Login and Active Softphone Are Required to Receive Calls

You must be logged into callers.io from a desktop or laptop computer to receive inbound calls. Calls are delivered through the built-in web-based softphone inside your dashboard.

How Call Delivery Works

callers.io operates through a browser-based softphone built directly into the platform.

To receive inbound calls, you must:

  • Log into your account
  • Access the “My Phone” page
  • Turn on the softphone
  • Set your status to available

Calls are not forwarded to personal mobile numbers.

How to Start Receiving Calls

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your callers.io account from a desktop or laptop.
  2. Navigate to the My Phone page.
  3. Turn on the softphone.
  4. Ensure your microphone is enabled.
  5. Set your status to begin receiving calls.

Once activated, inbound calls will route directly to your web-based phone.

Can I Use a Mobile Phone?

No.

The system is designed to operate from a laptop or desktop computer using a stable internet connection. This ensures:

  • Better audio quality
  • Stable connectivity
  • Proper call tracking
  • Accurate billing

Important: Availability & Performance

Inbound calls are routed to agents who are:

  • Logged in
  • Softphone turned on
  • Marked as available
  • Funded

If you are not logged in, you will not receive calls.

Inbound insurance traffic is a numbers game. To properly evaluate performance and ROI, we recommend staying available consistently and measuring results across 20+ calls or multiple sessions, rather than a small sample size.

Consistency and availability significantly impact volume and overall outcomes.
